The HV series for high vacuum incorporate special technical features offering advantages unique to the BORA line.
DVD2 SPEED CONTROL
ROTOR PROFILE MINIMIZING DEAD ZONES For increased compression ratios attainable in high vacuum applications (20:1), a re-circulation caused by gas entrapment between the rotors can jeopardize reliability in extreme applications.
The rotor geometry BORA adopted (the patented STEM technology) in its three lobes design completely eliminates the phenomenon.
ZERO FRICTION LABYRINTH SEALS High vacuum brings operating conditions with rarefied gas streams that have lost their capacity to dissipate heat: the elimination of overheating due to friction by using a "zero contact labyrinth" housing design allows a higher operating speed.
MOTOR SHAFT SEAL - HIGH QUALITY MECHANICAL TECHNOLOGY
The use of specialized, albeit somewhat costly materials, is offset over time by increased reliability and longer life. Smaller shaft diameter reduces peripheral velocity and related friction allowing higher speeds through use of a frequency converter.
QUIET OPERATION Improvements in synchro gear design and critical process control in assembly leaves only bearing rotation audible.
